SnelStart MCP setup
With the SnelStart add-on you ask Claude about invoices, relations and the general ledger in your SnelStart administration. You need two keys: a subscription key and a koppelingssleutel. This page shows where to find them.
What you need
- A SnelStart administration you can log in to with SnelStart Web.
- An account on the SnelStart developer portal with a subscription to the B2B API.
- About ten minutes.
- A seat on MCP Hosted, or MCP Self-hosted, with the SnelStart add-on.
Where to find it
Your subscription key
The subscription key gives access to the SnelStart B2B API itself. You get it from the developer portal, not from SnelStart Web.
- Log in at b2bapi-developer.snelstart.nl.
- Open Products and pick the B2B API product you subscribed to.
- Copy the primary key of your subscription.
Your koppelingssleutel
The koppelingssleutel links one SnelStart administration. Whoever holds it can reach that administration through the API, so treat it like a password.
- Log in to SnelStart Web with the administration Claude should work in.
- Create a koppelingssleutel for your app in the linking settings of that administration.
- Copy the key. Working for several clients? Each administration has its own key.
Your API address
Leave this empty. AddoCore uses https://b2bapi.snelstart.nl/v2. Only fill it in when SnelStart gave you a different address.
Your token address
Leave this empty as well. The default is https://auth.snelstart.nl/b2b/token, the address from SnelStart’s own documentation.
Paste it in AddoCore
- In My Account, open MCP Hosted and pick your seat. On MCP Self-hosted, open your license.
- Go to Tools and choose Set up on the SnelStart card.
- Under Accounts, choose Add account and fill in Short name, Subscription key and Koppelingssleutel.
- Choose Save login details, then Test connection. A green result means it works.
One seat can use several administrations, handy for an accountant. Add each administration with its own koppelingssleutel. We store your login details encrypted.
Then ask Claude something only your own administration can answer, for example: Which sales invoices from this quarter are still open?

Running it yourself
Only for MCP Self-hosted when you set things in the .env file instead of in My Account. With the steps above you do not need this.
Show the technical setup
mcp-core gets a token from https://auth.snelstart.nl/b2b/token with grant_type=clientkey and the koppelingssleutel in the request body. Every API call then sends that token plus the subscription key in the Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key header.
One administration:
SNELSTART_SUBSCRIPTION_KEY=your-subscription-key
SNELSTART_CLIENT_KEY=your-koppelingssleutel
Several administrations: one JSON list. The AI picks one with the account parameter, using the id.
SNELSTART_CONNECTIONS=[{"id":"client-a","label":"Client A","subscriptionKey":"...","clientKey":"..."},{"id":"client-b","subscriptionKey":"...","clientKey":"..."}]
SNELSTART_BASE_URL and SNELSTART_AUTH_URL are optional and only needed for a different address from SnelStart.
Test connection fails? “The subscription key was rejected” means the key from the developer portal is wrong or the subscription is not active. “SnelStart rejected the koppelingssleutel” means the key is wrong or was revoked in SnelStart Web.
